SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] NYLXS - Free Software Chamber of Commerce
|
I am really so happy to announce that we had a super start of the NYLXS Business Network today. This is promising to be one of the great things NYLXS will achive for the Free Software Movement in NYC.
After spending the last 12 months building NYXS's educational program, and then it's political arm, we are now entering into an exciting period of building the business development arm of the organization.
The Free Software Chamber of Commerce is ready to explode on NYC and provide incomes, and work for generations of Free Software workers, consultant, and recent graduates of the NYLXS program.
With the boards permission, we have created a new adhoc committee which should raised to permanent status at next weeks board meeting. It's the Free Softwae Business Network Chair, and I have apponted, with permision of the board, Dimitar Georgievski to chair this oncoming project. I'm going to leave it to Dimitar to give a full description of the Networks agenda and activities, but I promise you, if your a worker in the IT field, or a business looking to move more Free Software into production, or just want more information of what Free Software can do for you, the FSCC is going to be something your going to want to be part of.
The plan is excellent, doable, and sharply targeted.
The first step, after the new web pages, is the creation of an internal mailing list, which is now up and running at fscc-at-nylxs.com
Email me your addresses to join until I get the signup page up.
This list is all serious business. No chit chat...just business and support.
