SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Need a volunteer to do a session on reliability, support, and security
|
People,
I am working with Dimitar on revising the invitation letter to the La Guardia Demo. It strikes me that there is a session missing from the general topics: we need a session on reliability, support, and security. The goal of this session would be to cut through FUD. Yes, it _is_ more reliable and here's why. Yes, bug fixes and enhancements are done frequently (but you have to define when this true and when it's not). And yes, Virginia, there are security holes, but they get fixed more quickly than in the proprietary world, but otherwise your "hacker" insurance is more costly with MS. Etc., etc., etc.
I've already got two sessions to do so I'm out of the running. Is there anyone else who would like to volunteer to do this session. I know you're out there, but I need your commitment and your name TODAY so we can put it in the material
That is all.
