How ugly could this get, I wonder?
And now for something completely different:
Who knows, or can learn very quickly, anything about Physician Order Entry Systems (POE)? The vendors in play are Autros, Cerner, Eclipsys, McKesson, & IDX. I'm your leprechaun and I bring news of a pot of gold. Enough said.
Much as I'd love to get ugly around a keg (I guess I can chip in upon my arrival, re: keg funds) discussing how to tinker with the satellites of the US GPS system with nothing more than four AAA batteries, a handspring visor, some duct tape, 16 and one-half lines of lisp code, and THE WILL to make it happen, I'm wondering if anyone has any background - whatsoever- with The Whole Linux Medicine Thing.
This POE stuff has me more interested, mostly because I foresee a year or two of hard work then another year spent figuring out which island to purchase. . .
If interested check out Autros's page: http://www.autros.com/homef.htm. It gives a fair sense of what the hell I'm ranting about.
Ruben, if the Good Lord sees fit for me to make it - cough, cough, I shall attend.
