This would be more ideal for classes and workshops.
I tried to set up workshops, but I've become very thin on time.
In the classes, we actually DO install and configure stuff on the boxes people use for the class. For example, the GNU/Linux 1 class starts with an empty machine and as one moves through the program, we move through Apache, DNS, Firewalls, routing, mail, everything.
For a specific product, like lately we've been working with PHPGroupwre, a set of hacking boxes in a permanent space for members to use for teaching, developement and experiementation, and general community activities.
Right now that place is the NYLXS Head Quarters, which doubles as my livingroom :)
The funding that comes through the FSI largely is being used to aquire a permanent home in Downtown Brooklyn, or lower Manhattan (that is LOWER MANAHTAN - like below Chambers Street) as well as it's other acxtivities.
I think that for the Demo, we might setup a workshop, and this is a good idea as well.

This would clearly take up a permanent location. Your welcome to use our current facities. Just email me, and your welcome.
We already often have 3 or 4 people here until early morn working on things.

At the cost of tutition and state funding. I'm hoping that class members and NYLXS can eventually not only access our sizable library but also our large pipe and Coputing facilities.

Our classes are all designed to be hands on for this reason

We are working on this as well..
