Guys,
We need to find out _tomorrow_ whether LaGuardia can come up with additional
space for us to use for presentations. If not, we're going to have to cut
some of the presentations because there just simply is not enough time to do
all of them in the presentation space. Finding out about the extra space is
in the critical path of finalizing the program.
Please keep in mind also that, unlike the CUNY demo, the area where the
tables will be set up (the "atrium") is completely different from the room
where the presentations will be held. Each individual giving a demo will
need to carry their box from the atrium to the presentation room, set up
with the projector, etc., and then tear down at the end and carry the box
back to the atrium. While the each demo is being given, someone will have to
watch the presenter's table in the atrium to make sure nothing gets clipped.
This means that, again unlike CUNY, there's going to be a lot of overhead
associated with each demo. It's not the ideal space, but it's what we've got
to work with.
