My name is Ruben Safir. I'm the presedent of NYLXS, the New York GNU/Linux Scene.
One of the major agendas of NYLXS (http://www.nylxs.com) is public education with Free Software,
both training and in support of educational facilities.
As part of that Mission, we developed a highly successful training program under the
Free Software Institute. We've now trained hundreds of students under this program, which is
about 8 months old now. We've trained people in Brooklyn and Manhattan at very low prices, subsidized
by our membership.
I'd like to invite you, and anyone else from your organization, into our first GNU/Linux Desktop
user class with Open Office. The Instructor for this class is a professional Corperate trainer,
and personal friend, Diane Rollins. In exchange, we only ask for your feedback at the end of the program.
The FSI holds classes in Brooklyn and Manhattan after hours, This class will be held at Rosenzweig and Maffia
aat 845 3rd Avenue, Midtown Manhattan. We'd be delighted if you would attend.
BTW - for your information, I obtained your email addresses from: http://www.altschools.org/technology/ in a routine
search on google. (NYC Software Classes).
Anyone else from your organization who would like to attend is also welcome. The normal cost for this class is $300
or $250 if a member of NYLXS or when taking 2 classes.
