I've done some reading up on Ed Towns. He is completely pro DRM. In one article he shamelessly turns the whole issue into a race/socio-economic issue, giving some half-baked logic about rich white kids with broadband connections reaping the benefits of napster while poor black kids in the ghettos are stuck buying CDs at $20 a pop. Talk about obfuscating the issue. This is exactly the kind word twisting and clouded, self-serving reasoning we need to combat. I suggest we mount a serious effort to either attempt to convince Rep. Towns to change his tune or to get him voted out in the next election.
