Most of the Free Software people last night where busy with other meetings including the Linux Soceiety, and NYLXS has classes and so on. If the Sig would have reached out for our help, we would have gladly helped organize the event, and helped publize it.
Alas - some peoples person agendas get in the way of cooperation....

OSI suffered a number of fundemental problems, starting with a miss-identification of the problem with business adoption.
Rebranding wasn't as important has marketing, and focused development. And NYLXS has tried to begin to address these problems.

Perhaps, but nothing can be done about human nature. None of this should have gotten in the way of marketing and pushing the free software desktop, which is the criticle lynch pin to getting free software into Business.
Inexpenssive Training, organized support, and marketing are the keys to getting Free Software into business...
