SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] monday meeting
|
i will be very late to tonight's meeting, so i'm posting this in hopes that it will be discovered before the meeting starts:
my agenda items would have been:
1) CUNY demo - I have permission to borrow 5-8 19" monitors for that day. will need help getting them to CUNY. 2) Possible conference rm for Perl2 class. Still under discussion, will know finally, i hope, tuesday. 3) Real Estate - my management agent - who doesn't have space available - gave me the name of a large nyc management co. - rudin management and suggested we ask them about availability of small office space. i'll be calling them tomorrow unless someone has already spoken with them.
regarding my demo section, i had intended to show: cross-platform hardware compatibility by demonstrating various distro's on three different platforms: intel, sun, apple. i intend to show that applications can be run on one platform and displayed on another. additionally, i'll demonstrate: - various window managers - evolution - open office
i can add - win4lin - applix - samba - compupic - abiword - kde3 office stuff - the open source flight simulator and others.
thanks, sorry i'm so late with this.
