Hi, I've been lurking for a while, but I have a quick question about the installfest... I have a Sony Vaio notebook that I'e been dying to get Linux onto, however, after extensive research I found that I can't do it with my third-party PCMCIA cd-rom drive - I needed the Vaio cd-rom drive. It's totally insane, but I tried everything I can think of. However, I CAN do the install over a network, either peer-to-peer or group, and I have an ethernet card for it, and Mandrake 8.2 disks raring to go, so all I need is someone with a willing ethernet-capable computer and the knowledge of how to do a network install. Is it possible to do this at the install fest?
