SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] audio equipment for radio show
|
Here is a preliminary suggestion as to what we would need to put on an audio show.
A mixer which has the most of what we need (4 mic preamps) no inserts, sends etc. (the mixers with fewer channels either don't have linear faders(pan-pots for volume) or don't have phantom-power or mic preamps.)
Behringer MX1604A EURORACK 12-Channel (2+2)-Bus Mixing Console B&H Price: $168.95 (In Stock -the best price I found)

as for the headset mics. I have had good experiences buying from soundprofessionals. They make their own mics (much cheaper) and are quite honest. They have a headworn cardiod for $25: (x4)?

other wise I would suggest audiotechnica, but these are more $$. I have sent them a request for suggestions and will call tomorrow if I haven't recieved a reply
We should expect to pay a bit more for cables perhaps $30-$50 . I can build any particularly long or different cables and save that expense.
Total: $170 + $100 + $50 +tax/shipping ~= $350
Does anyone have any opinions? Comments?
