I first wrote that analogy 3 years ago. We've come a long way since then and we've learned a lot since that time.
The scope of the DRM issue is too broad to bring to the public as it is presented in the original document. We know this from going door to door and ringing door bells.
Our last campain was "save the libraires". As a work, the original message which was sent is most effective for people already involved or already thinking about the broader issues. When going door to door, one area needs to be focused on and bullet pointed, in an broad educational campain for the public, until everyone understands the basic priniciples to the threat to libraries, education, the economy and privacy.
This is but ONE of about 30 writings a week on this issue by NY Fair Use and myself particularly. The boat is already out of the doc, jump on board...
