Linux in the Marketplace
Many of you will recognize this month's speaker as both a former presenter, and as a familiar face in the audience. Leonard Santalucia, of IBM's eServer Linux Impact Team will be giving a general presentation on Linux in the marketplace and IBM's role in it. Topics to be discussed include:
* Driving factors behind the momentum of Linux in the marketplace * Consultant views of Linux market acceptance * Customer acceptance and scenarios * Why and where IBM is investing in Linux, i.e., hardware, software, services, support, alliances, open source * Technical solutions * Total cost of computing * Competitive comparisons * How to engage IBM in your Linux opportunities
This will be a business-oriented meeting, which will cover the use of Linux ranging from the enterprise to the small business consultant. Bring your questions for Len to the meeting. Whether you're interested in running Linux on a global mainframe network, or are primarily interested in using Linux as a small-business consultant, this meeting will have something to offer you.
