SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Posting CUNY event
|
Has the CUNY event been submitted to the community events calendars of NY Daily News, NY Post, Newsday, Village Voice, New York Times, and other links I provided a couple of weeks ago? If not, it's too late now.
Although late, it may be possible to submit to linux weekly news. They have a calendar of events page, a weekly news page, and a daily updates page. If I remember correctly, they get well over 100,000 page views per day. Some of their calendar items get picked up by slashdot and other Linux and/or tech news and/or tech enthusiast sites.
Also, I submitted a proposed banner to hangout. It was pointed out to me that NYLXS has a banner already, and looks better. I suggested submitting the banner to linux weekly news, with a hyperlink to NYLXS. Linux weekly news is accepting banner ads from groups promoting Linux for FREE until they get more paid ads. Has anyone followed up on this? Don't let this slip by.
