SUBJECT | RE: [hangout] scheduled demo
|
Hi, Dimitar, I missed this email. I'm very sorry. I was gone that week for personal reasons. I wish I had seen it because this would have resolved our problem tonight. I would have told you to just run with it.
I spoke to Ted Brown at CUNY today. He was worried about the show, and felt that we needed a schedule. I told him I'd talk to the board and get back to him. Which I tried to do but he seems to have left early today. I'm glad you have had some contact with them while I was unavailable. The feeling I got was that a schedule was very important to him, so I am preparing one to send to him tonight for when he arrives tomorrow morning. One possibility I may suggest to him on the phone, is that we do not necessary need the large theater. He expressed concern to me that that particular theater was difficult to reserve and he wanted to make sure we would make full use of it. We would prefer to have a demonstration space in which people can freely move about and speak to us informally as well as watch demonstrations at different stations. When I speak to him tomorrow I will suggest the possibility of putting us in an open space without seating. That may make him feel more comfortable about having us there as well as be closer to what we were envisioning.
Then again, we can certainly make the theater work as well, and it may not be beneficial for him to move us last minute anyway.
