SUBJECT | Re: [hangout] evo under kde and others
|
i have run evolution under WindowMaker and KDE (also using imap). though i haven't fired up kde for a while, i don't recall kde slowing things up when i ran evo under it. i'll be happy to give it another trial.
evo certainly runs as well under windowmaker (not gnome w/windowmaker windowmanager pref.) as it does under gnome.
i also sync the palmpilot to the evo contact/calendar/to-do stuff.
i can offer to: demo various "office apps" like evo, kmail, openoffice, etc on different platforms (such as sparc and powerpc), under different windowmanagers, and via ssh/xterminals.
would it be useful to show that most apps can be run under different window managers. (for example kword under afterstep or windowmaker) also, how about some of the really light, fast windowmanagers/filemanagers like xfce
