Brooklyn Linux Solutions Announcement: Introduction C Programming Class:
Brooklyn Linux Solutions is offering it's first C Programming Class, Introduction to C Programming on Linux, starting on Sunday May 8th, 2002. The class will be held at the NYLXS Labs located at
1600 East 17th Street Brooklyn, NY. 2 blocks from the express Q train station at Kings Highway, 35 minutes from Herald Square, Manhattan. Classes begin at 10:00AM and end at 4:00PM leaving reasonable time for practice and lab work. The class will meet for 8 weeks, and cost $400.
The Class is designed for the beginning programmer and will cover the ANSI C. The following topics will be covered:
C Fundamentals
Formatted IO
Expressions
Operators
If conditions, while, do and for loops
Data Types, Arrays, Pointers
Functions
Scope
Structures
Advanced String Library functions
File Streams
Dynamic Memory Management
Linked Lists, Dispatch Tables
Declarations and an introduction to compiler theory
The text to be used will be KN King, C Programming: A Modern Approach
Accounts will be give to students to work on and programming tools will be taught.
The instructor is Ruben Safir: President of NYLXS and CEO of Brooklyn Linux Solutions.
Checks must be made out to Brooklyn Linux Solutions. Cleared checks or cash reserve the seat. A Maximum of 10 students can be accommodated.
