It seems to me that many of the "Linux companies" are giving up right about the time when the Linux desktop is poised to start gathering some steam.
But I've always understood it won't be the VA Linuxes and the Red Hats that bring about the revolution. It will be us, the small businesspeople putting it into other small businesses and organizations like NYLXS pushing it into government. I had a customer ask _me_ about Linux two weeks ago. That was a first. Usually I'm the one that has to bring that subject up. Some people just want to save money, some want a better solution. Everyone ends up getting both.
