SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] NY State funds for training
|
I found some information on the Workforce Development Service of NY site (www.wdsny.org). It seems that employers can get reimbursement for training costs although I couldn't find any specifics about what for and how much. But they do have a list of training providers.
New York Workforce Training Provider State List: http://www.wdsny.org/provider/trainer.htm
There is a link to the application to become a training provider but one must first contact the Local Workforce Investment Board (LWIB). http://www.wdsny.org/provider/mail.htm lists the LWIBs, here is NYC's: New York City Resource Development NYC WIB 116 East 16th St. 11th Floor New York, NY 10003 (212) 845-5300 nycwib-at-hotmail.com
Maybe we can start with this. I put in a call to the LWIB to get more information. I will report to the list on what I learn, if and when I get a call back.
Marcus
