Announcement: Advanced Perl and Web Programming Program
Brooklyn Linux Solutions is offering a 5 week course on Advanced Web
Programming with Perl in Brooklyn, NYC on Sunday's from January 6th, 2002 -
February 3rd. The class outline includes the following topics:
· Object Orientation in Perl
· Basic CGI Programming
· Database usage and SQL
· Building Database Web Applications with DBI
· Basic MYSQL administration and SQL
· Templating Web Design and Rapid Development with Perl
· Introduction to mod_perl
· Writing Basic Apache Modules with Perl
Classes with Start at 10:00AM and finish at 4:30PM. A work shop time, on line
accounts and networks will be provided. You can use your own computer, buy one
through Brooklyn Linux Solutions, or use one of the machines on site as are
available for work shops during class.
The maximin number of students is 12 and cost is only $200. This is an
excellent deal for folks to build on their skills for the future job market, or
to fill out their background. This class is not part of NYLXS's educational
program, but a function of Brooklyn Linux Solutions.
The class location will be at 1600 East 17th Street, Brooklyn NYC. Two blocks
from the Kings Highway train station on the Q express, and with easy access to
