The Journal will be published quarterly. It will be on-line and at
least one issue will be printed.
We need Articles about: free software, history of Linux (as
seen from those who were there), Stories from those who found
Linux later, How Linux Users Group you belong to got started and
its history, visions of where You see Linux, Free Software, GNU
going. How has Linux made a difference. In short we need to
explore the world of Linux and Free Software (were it's been, were
it's at now, were it seems to be going).
Our main goal is to Educate, Inform, and Promote Linux in the
New York Area (for those of you not from Brooklyn that means the
world).
We will be selling advertisements. RIGHT NOW what is
needed most is for those who are going to the LinuxWorld Expo to
write about what they find interesting (photo's would be nice also).
To those who wish to help (or just see their name in print) I would
like to get together with you and discuss the Journal (this is your
Journal also not just mine. Your idea's and help is needed ) over a
beer or two. Please e-mail me: nylxsmlr-at-mycouponmagic.com, or
post on hangout what night of the week would be good to meet [if
you know of any good places to meet let me know] {I am learning
this by doing and need all the help I can get}!
