I'm not willing to call NYLXS a failure. I think it is just in the
pains of development. I think volunteerism is great but there are
many ways one can give back. Not only through the direct giving of
man hours but also through donations or lending of equipment and
making meeting space available. I think this needs to be addressed,
as forced volunteerism is wrong and IMHO won't work.
I think another important issue is the for profit/not for profit
status. If NYLXS is a for profit enterprise, how will the members
share in the profits or will only the founder(s) of the corporation
share in profits?
