I just recently did this. You need to change a number of files including ssh_config see man make-ssh-known-hosts /etc/ssh_known_hosts

< I'm trying to set up authentication on a couple of servers so that I can do some script-based rsync stuff on them. Can anyone tell me the steps involved in modifying the sshd_config file, generating a key, and so forth, so that I don't need to provide a password? Thanks,
