Here's the URL about the use of the Toshiba Libretto in the Linux Gazzette..Oddly enough some one got it to work with RH 5.1 back in '98.....

As far as yanking the drive out, its proprietary and probably wouldn't fit in most laptops..

I'd yank the hard drive out of it, stick it in a machine, install slackware on it, and then think about upgrading after putting it back inot the laptop.

Can you be more specific? What model Libretto. Some of their newer stuff is very eccentric in terms of hardware...
